Community Involvement

Community Involvement

Helping others is one of the ways Paradise Ridge Dentistry gives back to the community. We would love for you to join us in helping others too. Please give us a call if you would like to become involved in some of the events we will be participating in.

Provided below are some of the upcoming charity events and past events we participate in:

August 19, 2020 - Code Red Water Drive

Meet the Veteran Family Riders and some of the Paradise Ridge Dentistry team as they present a $400 cash donation and 65 cases of water to Phoenix Rescue Mission.

During the hot summer months it is critical that the homeless population has access to water. The Phoenix Rescue Mission depends heavily on the local community to donate water, which is why we plan to make this an annual charity event. Let's see if we can triple our collections next year to help those in need.

November 1 – 5, 2018 – Halloween Cash For Candy Exchange

Kids, parents, schools, exchange your wrapped Halloween candy for $1 per 1 lb. Come in and get your candy weighed and we’ll send a check in the mail to you for the candy.

This is a great way for schools to earn money for the PTOs!

Learn more about this event on our Facebook Events Page.

Last year we collected over 1000 lbs. of candy which is donated to Operation Gratitude. Once they receive the donated candy their team of volunteers make care packages for the troops overseas, veterans, first responders, and their families. It’s a wonderful way to let them know that we are thinking about them.

January 31, 2018 – Onesie Night At PRD

Our team members came dressed in their onesies to compete for the best dressed. We asked our friends on Facebook to vote for their favorite onesie. The winner gets to choose their favorite charity to donate $100 dollars to from Paradise Ridge Dentistry.

November 1 – 10, 2017 – Cash For Candy Buy Back for Operation Gratitude

Kids, parents, schools, would you like to earn some extra cash for a really great cause? We would like to invite you to help your community while preventing cavities at the same time. Donate your wrapped Halloween candy this year and exchange it for cash. Every 1 lb. of candy will earn you $1. Your donated candy will be shipped to Operation Gratitude to be sent to our U.S. military. What a great way to cheer up our American heroes by sending them candy and letters from kids.

This is the third year we have participated in this campaign. Last year in 2016, we collected 356 lbs. of Halloween candy and donated it to Operation Gratitude. In 2017 we collected 900 lbs. of candy from kids, friends, and schools. We can’t wait to see what happens next year.

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Kids, parents, teachers, write letters to those who serve our country. CLICK HERE to learn more.
  • Make Paracord “Survival” Bracelets for our soldiers. LEARN HOW

July – August 2017 – Operation Smile Wide toothbrush donation for Operation Gratitude Ron Wolfley announces Operation Smile Wide on Arizona Sports.

During the months of July and August, we are asking our patients to book their appointments and give back their toothbrush kits gifted to them by us during their dental visits. The toothbrushes will then be donated to Operation Gratitude and sent to our U.S. Military troops and first responders.

Our U.S. Military troops and first responders needs many hygiene items including toothbrushes. Our reason for asking patients to donate their toothbrushes is so that they are given the opportunity to participate in the campaign. Along with the toothbrushes, we will be taking pictures of the patients holding up their toothbrushes and asking them to write brief letters to the U.S. Military troops.

We’ve made giving back an easy experience for patients to touch the hearts of our U.S. Military by including a personal photo, handwritten letter, and a toothbrush kit. Handwritten letters, however, are the most cherished items by our troops.

Book an appointment with us today to help put a smile on someone’s face.

Who is Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude, a 505(c)(3) organization, established in 2003 collects various hygiene, food, handwritten letters, entertainment to assemble into care packages. The care packages are then distributed to Wounded Heroes and their caregivers, U.S. service members who are deployed overseas and their families, new recruits, Veterans, and First Responders.

Operation Gratitude provides Americans opportunities to lift the spirits and honor those who serve our nation.

Over 1,600,000 care packages have been shipped on behalf of Operation Gratitude volunteers since 2003.

Operation Gratitude needs other hygiene products too. Click on their logo to see a list of other items needed.
