Phoenix CEREC Crowns

Phoenix CEREC Crowns

At Paradise Ridge Dentistry, CEREC Crowns are our doctor’s preferred choice for tooth restoration.

Cerec Crowns are made from zirconia material right here in our office. Zirconia is the hardest ceramic material in the dental industry so the crowns are very durable and long-lasting. Our crowns are also very aesthetically pleasing because the material is translucent and produces beautiful, natural looking results.

Why Patients Choose CEREC Crowns

With the CEREC technology you can get a dental crown procedure from start to finish in just one visit.

After your tooth is prepared, we use CAD/CAM software to create a digital model of it. Once your tooth’s design has been approved, it is transferred to our onsite milling unit to be prepared. The process takes just 20 minutes to fabricate your crown, and then it is placed on your tooth. After this, we make any final adjustments if necessary for a perfect fit and permanently bond it into place.

Advanced Technology Benefits

  • Less discomfort – with the same-day crown technology less drilling is required. This allows us to preserve more of the existing tooth compared to the traditional crown method.
  • No more messy impressions – we’ve eliminated the use of the messy, uncomfortable trays required to make traditional crowns. In their place our dentists use digital tools to design your new crown.
  • More convenient – in about an hour, our dentists can create your dental crown to look just as natural and beautiful as a lab-fabricated crown.
  • No lab delays - it takes roughly two weeks for a lab to fabricate a crown.

Process For Lab Fabricated Crowns

When a dental lab is involved in the process, fabricating a crown requires two appointments. At the first dental visit, you will need an injection of anesthesia so that the dentist can prepare your tooth, take an impression of it, and send it to the laboratory. And this process takes about two weeks to complete your permanent crown. Further, you must wear a temporary crown while you wait for the lab. After the lab has finished fabricating the crown and sends it back to the dentist, you must return for a second visit. At this visit the dentist may need to give you second injection of anesthesia, remove the temporary crown, and place the permanent crown on your tooth.

CEREC Crowns Are Healthy

CEREC crowns made from zirconia material are healthy because the material is bio compatible. This is a benefit because the human body will not reject the material and it can remain within the mouth for a very long time. Also, zirconia material is much healthier than gold, amalgam, and other materials, and it will closely match your natural tooth structure composition. This is important because it allows for both the crown and tooth to expand and contract simultaneously to prevent your tooth from cracking.

CEREC, Not Just For Crowns and Fillings

CEREC is also great to repair chipped or discolored front teeth. It produces beautiful results for porcelain anterior crowns and veneers and makes a lasting impression. Within an hour or less, you will leave with a beautiful smile enhancement.
