With the CEREC technology you can get a dental crown procedure from start to finish in just one visit.
After your tooth is prepared, we use CAD/CAM software to create a digital model of it. Once your tooth’s design has been approved, it is transferred to our onsite milling unit to be prepared. The process takes just 20 minutes to fabricate your crown, and then it is placed on your tooth. After this, we make any final adjustments if necessary for a perfect fit and permanently bond it into place.

Process For Lab Fabricated Crowns
When a dental lab is involved in the process, fabricating a crown requires two appointments. At the first dental visit, you will need an injection of anesthesia so that the dentist can prepare your tooth, take an impression of it, and send it to the laboratory. And this process takes about two weeks to complete your permanent crown. Further, you must wear a temporary crown while you wait for the lab. After the lab has finished fabricating the crown and sends it back to the dentist, you must return for a second visit. At this visit the dentist may need to give you second injection of anesthesia, remove the temporary crown, and place the permanent crown on your tooth.

This is a benefit because the human body will not reject the material and it can remain within the mouth for a very long time.
