Phoenix Affordable Dentures
Have you ever considered getting dentures? A denture is a removable dental appliance created to fill the spaces left by missing teeth and surrounding tissue. When used, are an important part of keeping the teeth and mouth in frame when one or more teeth are missing.
There are two types – complete and partial. Complete dentures are for patients who are missing all of their teeth, while partial dentures will only replace missing teeth. When missing any teeth, partials play an important role in preventing other teeth from shifting position in the mouth.
Typically, our patients receive dentures for the following reasons:
- Complete loss of all teeth in an arch
- Partial loss of teeth in an arch
- Enhancing smile and facial tissues
- Improving chewing, speech, and digestion
Here are some very good reasons to keep your teeth.
When teeth are lost in the back, the adjacent teeth can shift into the vacant spaces. This causes the cheeks to sink in and the face to change appearance. The chin may move upward and begin to protrude out and the lips may straighten and thin out. Pouches may begin to form on the sides of the jaw.
Plaque builds up more easily as the teeth crowd together or shift. This increases the risk of decay and gum disease.
Chewing may become impaired and there can be stress caused to other teeth and jaw when teeth shift from tooth loss.
At Paradise Ridge Dentistry we can provide you with full, partial or implant-supported dentures. The dentures we make for our patients are long-lasting because they are so strong and durable. On occasion, they may need to be remade, repaired or readjusted due to regular wear and tear. Book a consultation online or give us a call and speak with our staff to book an appointment.
